It's all about the Flavour ☕️
But we don’t need to. Our flavour speaks for itself.
One of the best coffees I've had in a long time!
Hey there, we’re Jamie & Emma and we are self-confessed coffeeholics.
With four children under seven years old, all with different needs, (like so many people) we found lockdown incredibly challenging, and needed to be a strong partnership.
Crazy work hours, and constantly trying to entertain the little ones (our second son has autism, and the lockdown was particularly harsh for him), led to Emma & myself to basically living off coffee and, let’s just say, less than healthy food.
On the other hand, this meant that we tried a huge variety of coffee, from all the [Insert Major Brand] Coffee Pods, to subscription packs and everything in between. One day, after pouring away yet another cup of gruesome coffee, we saw the light.
‘We could make a better coffee than this’, we said. So, we did.
"Our starting point is always choosing the best tasting beans. We’re coffee obsessives, flavour chasers, plain and simple. There’s no snobbishness round here because, in our eyes all beans are equal."

Arabica vs Robusta
So, there are a lot of lofty opinions flying around about on the subject of Arabica versus Robusta beans. Your average coffee snob tends to insist that Arabica is the only way to go and that Robusta is just a poor relation that needs to be relegated to instant jars. Wrong.
Here’s the low-down on their characters so you can decide for yourself.
- Arabica has a mild, sweeter taste. It has elegant taste notes and great aromas, so with these palate-friendly vibes, it makes sense that people are drawn to it. It’s a delicate plant that’s tricky to grow and, therefore more expensive. Think of it as the fragrant fashionista.
- Robusta is an altogether different character. It’s a lot deeper, punchier and packs a strong flavour. The Italians use it in loads of their blends. It happily grows in a variety of conditions, hence the robust in its name, so it’s more plentiful and therefore cheaper. Think of it as the strong, silent type. So why the hate?
A burst of quality Robusta beans used expertly in a blend can transform it from tame to terrific, giving it just the right amount of oomph to get you up and running and feeling like you’ve had a proper coffee hit.
Let’s cut to the chase. If you want your coffee to wake you up, help you through the daily grind (see what we did there?) or just make you go:
“ahhhh ….” You’ve come to the right place.
We’re incredibly proud to be able to offer you our awesome coffee! But we’re pretty new to this.
